Playgrounds will probably never go out of fashion. Whilst Mum and Dad can sit comfortably in the shade, chat and enjoy the good Sexten mountain air, the kids can really get down to some fun! Friendships are made and mud fights planned. In Sexten there is a whole range of special playgrounds to discover – close to nature and extremely diverse, such as the “Gissa Waldile” on the outskirts of the village or the “Sonnwendplatz” in the parish of Schmieden. From the “St. Veit” playground behind the Sparkasse building you can take a bike or buggy on to the “Waldile” in Waldheim… and then just a little further on is another forest playground in Moos. In short, every couple of hundred metres there are new opportunities for play. There are even rumours that hard-bitten playground insiders have managed to complete the Sexten “playground rally” in a single day…
Still not enough? Then there are fantastic play areas for children at the chalets all along the hiking trails in the Sexten Dolomites.
