A trip by the Three Peaks cable car is recommended for all those who want to catch a glance of these famous landmarks of the Sexten Dolomites without any major athletic effort. The cable car link was opened in December 2014 as a connecting link between the two ski resorts Helm/Monte Elmo and Rotwand/Croda Rossa and was named after the spectacular panoramic view of the pale peaks of the Dolomite mountains, a UNESCO world heritage site, and of the Three Peaks! In winter, a good day’s skiing with a ski run on the Stiergarten piste across from the Sexten Sun Dial can be enjoyed here. During the warm season, the mountain station of the Three Peaks cable car is a popular starting point for numerous family walks, for example to Monte Arnese or the Klammbachalm and Nemesalm.
